San Diego

Convention-week sharp, wedding-season soft.

San Diego swings between two personalities — badge-wearing convention crowds downtown and coastal weddings from Coronado to La Jolla. The bar runs both, with no travel fee anywhere in the county.

Convention and Gaslamp programs

During show weeks, the bar works hotel hospitality suites, off-site client dinners, and booth activations near the convention center. Off-site venues beat show-floor economics for many exhibitors: no drayage, no decorator power order, just our standard two-outlet spec inside a Gaslamp restaurant buyout. For in-booth programs, everything hand-carries — see the convention notes on our trade show page for the full playbook.

Coastal weddings

Coronado, La Jolla, and North County wedding venues favor outdoor ceremonies and ocean-view receptions, which the bar handles with its own canopy and a sidewall on the sea-breeze side. Salt air is real: machines get covered the moment the marine layer rolls in, and evening events near the water get the crew's standing humidity protocol. Robes for the morning suite, monogrammed totes at the reception — the coastal double-header.

Waterfront and festival activations

Embarcadero and bayside event lawns run on distributed event power, where the bar's few hundred watts barely register. Level ground and canopy weights are the only site asks, and pre-stitched inventory covers the midday crowd surges these events produce.

San Diego County events carry no travel fee, and the standard footprint — 10×10, two circuits, 90-minute setup — holds from ballroom to bayfront.
